What is a At home Rapid Flu Test used for?
The At Home Rapid Flu Test helps to determine whether or not you may have influenza (the common flu). Influenza is a viral respiratory infection that causes a range of mild to severe illnesses. It is seasonal, beginning in late fall, and disappearing in early spring. Common symptoms are:
- Muscle aches
- Fatigue or Lethargy
- Stuffy nose
- Sore throat
- Cough that is more severe and longer lasting than a cold
What do I need to do to prepare for the home test?
You don’t need any special preparations for a flu test.
What do the results mean?
A positive result means you likely have the flu. Your health care provider may prescribe medication to help decrease the duration of your symptoms and make you feel better. A negative result may mean that there is another cause for your symptoms, but we do not recommend that users interpret this without taking advantage of our free telehealth consultation. Our providers are well-trained in evaluating the results in combination with your symptoms.
How do I initiate a physician consultation?
After you complete the test and get a result, follow the instructions in your kit to book a free virtual physician consult with our partner Physician 360 and receive a prescription, if needed.
