Having children is a human drive – a human need, yet >100 Million people worldwide face the heartbreak of infertility and are unable to conceive a child. The myLAB Box at home male fertility test kit allows for fast, safe, easy and highly accurate diagnostics on the current state of your male reproductive health and take control of your conception journey.
Male fertility is complicated. Basically, fertility is a comprehensive description of a man’s ability to conceive a child. Having an adequate amount of sperm, sperm being produced properly, and the ability of sperm to move properly to reach the egg are a few of the factors that affect fertility. A man is considered to be infertile when these factors fall below optimal levels. There may be no other obvious signs and symptoms.
Sperm count is an important factor in a man’s fertility status as well as his general health. This test is intended for men to conveniently and routinely test this important health parameter. Recent studies from the American Society for Reproductive Medicine show evidence that men’s sperm counts are in deep, global decline. In truth, the average sperm count is dropping 1.4% per year, with no indicators of stabilizing. This means the majority of men are facing a suboptimal sperm count. This means it may take many men much longer to conceive than their forefathers. With this screening test, you will see where you stand and learn how best to take control of your fertility.
In cases of infertility, the man is a contributing factor in 50% of cases. A Semen Analysis is conducted to test a man’s sperm count (Concentration), moving sperm (Motility), normally shaped sperm (Morphology), and other parameters. One of the most important factors in achieving a pregnancy is the number of Motile Sperm in the sample. If the sperm cannot swim to the egg, natural pregnancy is not possible. The Home Sperm Test analyzes your Motile Sperm Concentration (how many are moving) and Sperm Quality and compares your results to laboratory standards and to other men who have fathered children. You will also receive a video recording of your sample as part of the test. Here is some more detail on each result and the reference ranges for Normal vs. Abnormal.
Sperm cells need to move forward to reach the egg during normal conception. The test first reports if your Motile Sperm Concentration (MSC) is above or below a “Normal Range” of 6 Million Motile Sperm per Milliliter. The “Normal Range” of 6 Million Motile Sperm is calculated by multiplying the World Health Organization (WHO) reference value for Sperm Concentration (15 million) times the normal reference range for Sperm Motility (40%). 15 million x 40% = 6 million. Although only one sperm cell is needed to fertilize an egg, 6 million Motile Sperm per Milliliter is the cut-off or “threshold,” which determines the diagnosis of Low vs. Moderate/Normal MSC.

Each kit comes with two (2) tests. Additional refill tests are also available for repeated usage so that you can see changes over time. Your sperm count can change daily, weekly, and monthly due to changes in your health, lifestyle, and the world around you. To get the most accurate benchmark results, we recommend testing twice to establish a baseline for measuring progress. After that, you should test at least monthly outside of your partner’s fertile window (the six-day interval when pregnancy can occur, ending on her ovulation day).
In many cases, men start to see results starting after one month. That said, be aware that it takes sperm a while to fully develop. It may take two months or longer to see meaningful concentration changes after implementing health and lifestyle changes.

You will first need to refrain from ejaculating for at least two (2) days and no longer than 11 days prior to collection. To better grasp the factors that may affect fertility, it is recommended that you write down symptoms you’re experiencing (if any), and any major stressors or life changes you are currently undergoing. Ask you family if there is a history of reproductive problems. Lastly, list all medications, alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, recreational drugs, etc. that you have been using.
The results indicate the amount of sperm that is present as:
